Not only was this a good weekend to relax and grill out and spend time with family because of Memorial Day, but we also gathered to celebrate Cody's birthday. Cooper and Penny enjoyed the singing and cupcakes, and Levi's wide eyes showed he was up for the fun as well!

Cooper and Penny in the pool

Sure, Memorial Day is a few days away, but we started the fun early at Val's parents' house last night. The kids inaugurated the new pool and my dad-in-law grilled pork chops, and much fun was had with some nice weather ...

Cooper tumbling

Cooper's Mother's Day Out program has a regular tumbling class, and parents were asked to come watch this week and see how much their kids were learning during the past school year, so of course I went to see my boy have fun being active!

Cooper and Penny at Chuck E. Cheese's

This was Penny's first time going to Chuck E. Cheese's. She wasn't really that interested in the games, but she was probably overwhelmed.

Biblical passwords

I don't know about y'all, but I use the same password for most everything. Our IT guy at work surely hates me because I am guilty of not having ten different passwords for all the different sites I have to use.

You know, to prevent hackers from finding out that I get a lot of emails from my siblings about healthy recipes, or when I add another post to my Twitter feed about my cray-cray two-year-old daughter, Penny. #terrifctwos

If the password you use the most is "123456" or just "password," congratulations, you have a lot of company. Those are the top two in a list that Captain Obvious would be proud of.

My new idea is to tailor a password to each email and social media site I use with a verse from the Bible. Here are my picks:

Matthew_5:16 - “Let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven."

Psalm_97:7 - "All who worship images are put to shame, those who boast in idols— worship him, all you gods!"

Colossians_4:6 - "Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone."

Genesis_3:9 - "But the Lord God called to the man, 'Where are you?'"

Ephesians_5:15 - "Pay careful attention, then, to how you walk—not as unwise people but as wise—"

2_Timothy_2:15 - "Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth."

Ezekiel_26:13 - "I will put an end to your noisy songs, and the music of your harps will be heard no more."

2_Corinthians_3:1 - "Are we beginning to commend ourselves again? Or do we need, like some, letters of recommendation to you or from you?"

Job_7:17 - "What is man, that You think so highly of him and pay so much attention to him?"

Romans_12:13 - "Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality."
